As of April 2018, we’ll be offering a 6 week online course open to people all around the world, aged 14 years or older. All participants will be invited to submit one piece of work (short fiction or memoir) up to 2,000 words in length for prospective publication in an online anthology. The first anthology will be published half-way through 2018. We will aim to publish a second anthology by the end of the year. The program has received Local and State Government funding and will therefore cost only AUD$150 per participant, which is terrific value!

The Short Fiction and Memoir Writing Program will be kick-started with free introductory workshops presented by Dr Eileen Herbert-Goodall at various libraries across southeast Queensland, Australia (see workshop dates below). If you don’t live in any of the listed towns/regions listed, and/or can’t make it to an introductory workshop, then that’s fine too – simply contact us  (entries@fieldofwords.com.au) for further information about how to enrol.

At the beginning of March, the online course will become available. As noted above, it will be delivered/released across 6 weeks and includes a total of 12 online sessions/videos (2 per week). Each session/video will run for around 30 – 40 min’s (not including recommended readings and writing exercises). See the course overview below:
