Short Fiction and Memoir Writing Program
Welcome to our Short Fiction and Memoir Writing Program. We're sure you're going to get a lot out of it! This is the first session of this program for 2018 and will run from March 19 until April 23. Just a reminder that the program consists of a total of 6 modules (one released every week). Each module contains two units that take between 10 – 20 min’s to complete (not including assigned writing, reading and viewing exercises, which are all optional). It's advised that you complete both units within a module by the end of each working week, as we'll be sharing creative work and bouncing around ideas on a live webinar (optional attendance) every Saturday morning. You'll receive an invitation to attend these easy-to-access webinars via email. Participants are also encouraged to share their creative output on the FoW Emerging Writers’ Chat Group on Facebook (send us a join request if you'd like to be involved in this group). Remember, too, that all participants will be invited to submit a piece of fiction or memoir (up to 2000 words in length) for possible inclusion in an e-anthology to be published online. Email your submissions to us by May 7th in order to have your work considered for publication. Don't forget to mark each unit as completed as you go...this will allow you to move to the next unit, although we strongly recommend you stick at the same pace as everyone else - two units per week. We'll be with you every step of the way throughout this program, so enjoy! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at entries@fieldofwords.com.au
